2/28/2024 0 Comments After effects compositor jobsI suspect the EXR-file have a higher bit depth than PNG? The mapped texture gets aliased. I have for now abandoned the Idea with using EXR and I am using png instead, painstakingly setting up output nodes for each pass.īut pngs did not render a sufficiently good UV-pass for (great AE plugin that can use the UV-pass to map different textures). Question: How can you render out an image sequence with multilayer (extended Open EXR) if you are using compositing output nodes? Rendering a still and saving with multilayer (F10/Format tab) results in all channels selected in the renderpass and is seen by AE. ![]() The problem is, using the compositor to output the sequence, there is just an Open EXR saver node. I have been trying to get a rendered EXR-sequence into AECS4, using the plugins you linked to. ![]() I wasnt sure if I should put this post in “Other software” or not. If there are any Blender users out there who have usefull tips I’d like to hear them. It’s not possible either to simply create a different output from the original Blender scene, scale it and save it to a different location because the “file output node” doesnt accept the passes only one image input. Importing the original EXR’s into Blenders Sequence editor and scaling them down destroys all the Multilayer data. I also noticed the slowdown of After Effects when working with 1920X1080 HD at 32bpc (big suprise) So I’m working with Proxy’s.Įxept I have not been able to get scaled down OpenEXR Multilayer files from Blender that contain the same information as the non proxy sequences. So far I’ve not been able to get anything usefull from the Vector, Index and Zdepth pass but I think that the Zdepth pass can be made to work, the other 2 are very Blender specific I think. I’ve been able to get every pass Blender has into After Effects although I’m sceptical all of the passes can be put to use, I still need to test it. You will need to disable After Effects own OpenEXR importer and download an opensource OpenEXR importer that will be able to read Blenders passes. ![]() It is possible to get a multipass rendered image saved as an OpenEXR Multilayer into After Effects. For the Blender users who use After Effects (like me) next to Blenders own compositor, I have some good news. This position is only available to work in house.I’ve been experimenting a bit with 3D multipass rendering and compositing, and I would like to share my findings. Creating animations from still frames.Īs a bonus, you would have experience in Davinci Resolve, Premiere, Photoshop, Cinema 4D +Ī further bonus would be a working interest or knowledge of Motion Control systems and software such as Dragonframe or Flair, we now have a Bolt Jr+ motion control rig in-house. You should have good experience in dealing with the following types of brief Live action Edit and Grade, Live action Edit, Grade and Cleanup. With 2+ years of professional industry experience, you will be responsible for all aspects of the process, including processing footage, creating edits and composites, through to file delivery and outputs. This role requires a motivated multi tasker who has an eye for detail & colour. ![]() Working predominantly in After Effects to create composites and edit footage that compliments the work of our still life team. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to join The Forge on a full-time basis.
